How He Built a $50,000/Month Vending Business in One Year
After a failed restaurant and bankruptcy forced him back into the workforce, he scaled a vending route from 4 machines to 33 in about a year.

Without a doubt, I am so confident that I made the right decision when I joined Vendingpreneurs. As long as I'm in the vending business, I will be part of this community.
Background
DJ and his wife got into business ownership in 2016. During COVID, a restaurant they owned failed and they went into bankruptcy, forcing both of them back into the workforce in 2021; DJ went into the mortgage industry. He started vending on his own through Naturals2Go, installing his first of four machines in April 2024, before meeting Mike Hoffman at a Wealth Without Wall Street conference in August 2024.
During COVID, one of the businesses we owned, a little restaurant that just never had a chance to get off the ground, it failed, and we went into bankruptcy as a result of that.
The Challenge
DJ had already committed to one vending program and had no outside community to validate whether paying for a second one made sense.
We didn't really look into anything else when we were doing it. Explore different avenues, because you don't know what you don't know, and we really didn't know anything.
The Turning Point
Seeing Mike Hoffman present at the conference sold him immediately, backed by the appeal of machine flexibility and a community to shorten the learning curve.
When Mike was up there speaking, I was just like, 'This is my guy right here.' I was so excited. Called my wife, I went up and introduced myself to Mike.
Where They Are Now
DJ joined in August 2024 with 4 machines and didn't place his fifth until November 2024. By December 2025, he had 33 machines across 17-18 locations, grossing close to $600,000 annualized, or about $50,000 a month. His highest location is student housing at about $8,000 a month; his second-best is a 24/7 warehouse with about 150 employees at around $7,000 a month. He runs three drivers plus a warehouse picker and says vending has replaced at least half of his income from the mortgage business.
We went from four machines at that time. I'll be installing 32 and 33 next week, so we'll have 33 machines before the end of the year.
